Nippon Express offers its clientes the JET PAK service that allows to send by air, door-to-door deliveries at any location in Japan, from Portugal.

Maximum volume, per box: 200 x 200 x 300cm
Maximum weight, per box: 32 kg

It includes:

  • Customs expenses both in Portugal and in Japan
  • Service leaves out of Lisbon and Oporto Airports 
  • Maximum liability: 19 SDR per Kg

Operations

It´s possible to enter all the information into the system either via EDI or manually, prior to the arrival of the merchandise.

This way, all documentation is prepared in advance, which allows for increased efficacy in the control of the reception of goods, the spotting of errors or discrepancies that may occur. At this stage the labels for storage are printed.

The customer has the possibility to manage and control the stock by any of the categories introduced in the item card (manufacturing date, lot number, reference number, family of product, etc...).

The system also allows for printing personalized documentation, with the client´s name and the logo. This ensures not only a good image, but also avoids any sign the merchandise was not at the client´s own warehouse the entire time.

Charter

Nippon Express Portugal, S.A. organises exclusive charter flights with cargo for individual clients, to most airport destinations in the world.

The available airplanes have a loading capacity of over 600 m3, which facilitates massive shipments for one destination.

We have the capacity to manage all operations necessary: unloading, handling and final delivery to the client, combining the intermodal transportation whenever necessary.

Through the Shuttle system, customers can access the management and control of its stocks at any Nippon Express warehouse in the world.

The REWARDS computer system belongs to Nippon Express and it makes easier for integrations and modifications, according to the operation needs of each customer.

The whole process of storage and distribution is carried out by the REWARDS system and its main features are:

  • Reading and identification of the barcode
  • Storage with precise location control
  • Picking according to the indication of the customer (Fifo, Fefo etc.)
  • Possibility of connection via EDI
  • Registration of Serial numbers
  • Issuance of various shipping documents
  • Tracking of shipments online
  • Connection to Nippon Express warehouses around the world

Temperature controlled and DGR/ PERISHABLES

High value service / dangerous service / hand carry service

The demand has been increasing for low temperature chain control, as it applies to pharmaceutical, chemical or food products. This is handled by our temperature controlled shipping services.

Nippon Express Portugal, S.A offers frozen cargo air shipping services, for perishables and and pharmaceutical products, and it adjust the shipping schedule to minimize losses in temperature control that could otherwise alter the cargo.

In our own facilities, Nippon Express can select among frozen versus perishable goods for shipping in appropriate packaging, such as dry ice and cold packs

Nippon Express Portugal, S.A also offers the possibility to transport high value cargo and dangerous cargo (DGR), all of them strictly supervised by our highly qualified staff.

Nippon Express issues DGR merchandise certificates for air shipments to every destination, whether they are small quantity samples or large and heavy loads. We analyse the technical specification sheet of each product, in order to comply with the IATA rules for shipment, and we also take care of any packaging adjustments to comply with flying norms, whenever possible.

Nippon Express Portugal, S.A also counts with a hand carry cargo service, handled by specialised staff, where at any time you know it´s exact location.
